It actually feels like the day before Thanksgiving today. Any of you who have lived in another country know not to take that for granted. I mean, on Christmas Day here, everyone else gets up, drinks their morning coffee or tea, and goes to work. They clean, hang laundry, and do whatever else they normally do. No holiday traffic. No closed stores. It's kinda weird being a tiny minority celebrating a holiday. But this year, Thanksgiving Day falls on the day before a three-day local holiday, one of the biggest of their year. So stores are packed, bins of special candy are on display, everyone is cleaning a cooking like crazy, and kids are hyper in anticipation. And while our neighbors are getting ready to slay their lamb, we'll be cooking our 18 pound Turkey and celebrating with local Americans!
